Answer in your blog: What are the most relevant features offered within an LMS?  Which features directly relate to effective online instruction?  How might you use these features in the online classroom environment?

A discussion of the most relevant features offered within an LMS will be discussed below.

Emails are essential to educators, learners, and parents.  Emails offer quick communication between parties.  Emails serve as proof of contact and it takes away the cat and mouse chase of a phone call.

School level announcements are an excellent source for delivering important dates relevant to the success of the student, teachers, and parents.  Parents do not have to rely on receiving a paper copy which can be misplaced or lost.  Electronic announcements are well organized and accessible at any time.

Electronic grade book is a key element for educators.  It saves time by calculating grades, and organizing grade categories.  Parents, students, and administration can directly view the grade-book thus offering more support to the learner.

I would use emails, electronic announcements, and grade Books to directly contact parents, staff and the learner.  Learning Management System serves as a form of check and balance, and proof of contact thus holding all accountable for the information shared
